I see my blog, ConHome and Dizzy have been taken off recommended links on Conservatives.com. How pathetic of them.
If this was a conscious decision by the Tories, I have to say that I find it difficult to understand. The Conservative Blogosphere in the UK is impressively vibrant and has underpinned the Tories relative dominance of the online political discourse over here. I’ve been pretty envious of what ConservativeHome has been able to achieve in terms of nurturing an online community of Tory activists. It would be an extremely short-sighted decision for Tory HQ to try to neuter or discredit this community. However, it would solve the problem of the conservative blogosphere’s (seemingly) inevitable transition from an oppositional force to a part of a governing majority…..
